A bit of a geographical oddity, EuroAirport Basel is one of only a handful of airports that is jointly operated by two countries, with its international status requiring the unusual assignment of 3 different airport codes. Located entirely on French soil, the airport nevertheless contains a Swiss customs area, and it is possible to pass between the two countries through the airport with valid ID.
